Często na opakowaniach suplementów w skład których wchodzi johimbina producent zaznacza jakoby johimbina pomagała w pozbyciu się głównie tkanki tłuszczowej z okolic brzucha , ud, pośladków. Aby manipulacja aktywnością receptorów alfa i beta była możliwa należy utrzymać ujemny bilans energetyczny. Wyniki po 21 dniach suplementacji johimbiną:
• w grupie johimbiny masa ciała przed: wynosiła średnio 81.2kg,
• w grupie johimbiny masa ciała po: wynosiła średnio 82.4kg,
• w grupie placebo masa ciała przed: wynosiła średnio 80.1kg
• w grupie placebo masa ciała po: wynosiła średnio 81.9kg
• w grupie johimbiny % tkanki tłuszczowej przed: 9.3%, zaś po: 7.1%
• w grupie placebo % tkanki tłuszczowej przed: 8.9%, zaś po: 9.2% (wzrost zatłuszczenia),
• pod względem wpływu na wydolność johimbina okazała się obojętna (sprawdzano m.in. wyciskanie leżąc, wyciskanie nogami, skok wzwyż, test mocy i dryblingu, bieg wahadłowy),
Co najciekawsze, piłkarze wraz z pozbywaniem się tkanki tłuszczowej nabyli jednocześnie masę mięśniową – co prawda niewiele, ale zawsze. W grupie johimbiny tkanka mięśniowa przed: 53.8%, zaś mięśnie po: 56.3%. W grupie placebo mężczyźni nabyli co prawda masy mięśniowej (wzrost z 54.9% do 58.3%) jednakże okupione to zostało wzrostem zatłuszczenia, tymczasem w grupie johimbiny odnotowano spadek zatłuszczenia ciała. Kolejnym bardzo ciekawym efektem stosowania johimbiny jest fakt, iż wykazuje ona wpływ na ograniczanie nadmiernego apetytu, stąd wiąże się to z brakiem odczuwana dręczącego głodu.
Jak wspomniałem wcześniej yohimbina wykazuje również działanie ułatwiające erekcję oraz jako afrodyzjak zarówno dla mężczyzn jak i kobiet.
Zażycie 5-10mg chlorowodorku yohimbiny 30-45 minut przed stosunkiem powoduje zwiększony napływ krwi do narządów płciowych, a co się z tym wiąże erekcję. Dzięki temu johimbina ułatwia odbycie stosunku seksualnego. U niektórych osób dodatkowo powoduje ona podniesienie nastroju, pojawienie się wesołości oraz wzrost libido. U niektórych osób dodatkowo zgłaszano uwrażliwienie skóry na bodźce dotykowe, co wzmocniło odczuwanie doznań seksualnych. Działanie johimbiny utrzymuje się dwie do czterech godzin.
DAWKOWANIE

Ad. 3 - Tak jak wcześniej opisałem, johimbina wykorzystuje działanie naturalnie produkowanych hormonów lipolitycznych. Ich stężenie zwiększa się podczas wykonywania wysiłku fizycznego, więc uzasadnionym jest by stosowanie johimbiny łączyć z aktywnością fizyczną.
Ad. 4 - Nadmiar kalorii w naszej diecie (w szczególności węglowodanów), powoduje stymulowanie insuliny, która niestety hamuje lipotyczną aktywność johimbiny.
Johimbinę możemy łączyć z:
kofeiną (w dawce 100-200mg na porcję johimbiny)
geranium (w dawce 50mg) - tylko dla zaawansowanych użytkowników
termogenikami (np. synefryna), natomiast należy uważać na możliwie silny efekt substancji stymulujących układ nerwowy oraz w miarę możliwości kontrolować puls i ciśnienie.
